Honoring our nation’s heritage

At the Patriot Institute we believe that our Founders created the framework for the freest, most prosperous nation in the history of the world. We understand that they were not perfect, however, their dedication to the cause of liberty can be found in these words from the Declaration of Independence: "And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” We celebrate their sacrifices by studying the events leading up to, and including, the American Revolution and also by examining the sources of their inspiration. We present this information at our Monday Night History classes in the city of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Also, we maintain a Facebook page where we post “On This Day” daily events in history, primarily from the Founding Era (1760 - 1800) but also other relevant historical events that helped shape our nation’s history and the American experience.
